Sponsored Swim by Rebecca Drake
I decided
to do a sponsored swim for the Löwchens 40th year celebrations
as I felt it was my way of giving a bit back to the dogs and the club.
I having always been a strong swimmer and swum for the county, lifeguarded,
taught swimming and done several long distance swims for Macmillan cancer
nurses so it was the obvious choice to do a swim for the Löwchens.
I will be swimming 5km which works out at 200 lengths of a 25metre pool
. The venue has not yet been decided but I will be doing the swim on
Valentines Day 14th feb 2008.
The sponsor forms will be ready for the Nov club show so I will be asking
for sponsors and hope everyone will dig deep into their pockets so we
can celebrate 40 years in style!
Me and my 7 Löwchens hope I can raise something towards the celebration
of this really special little breed.

The year 2008 denotes 40 years of the Lowchen in the UK. surely a year to be celebrated as another historic step in The History of the Lowchen. With this in mind we are hoping to produce a very special commemorative 2008 Year Book.
